About
A technology leader who has run the estates you’re building.
K.A.R.F is the practice of Khalid, a senior IT leader bringing enterprise-grade thinking to businesses that have outgrown ad-hoc technology but aren’t ready for a full-time CIO.
Over 15+ years in senior IT roles, I’ve led technology through the moments that decide whether it becomes a competitive advantage or a liability: rapid growth, system overhauls, security uplift, and acquisition. I was a core team member through a private-equity transaction and multiple corporate acquisitions-the kind of high-stakes, high-scrutiny work where the IT estate has to be understood, de-risked, and integrated without dropping a beat.
My approach is built on three words that run through everything I do: simple, secure, and efficient. Technology should reduce friction, not add it. Security should be a quiet certainty, not a recurring panic. And every pound spent should be doing visible work. I bring that discipline to organisations that need a steady, senior hand – on a fraction of the cost and commitment of a permanent hire.
I’m also genuinely multilingual – fluent in English alongside several South and Central Asian languages — which makes me a natural fit for international firms, cross-border ventures, and businesses with operations or roots beyond the UK.
